What Ember is
Ember writes romantic fiction with you, one chapter at a time. Every chapter is written to you in second person, and it is written from the choice you just made. Nothing is pre-written, so nobody else is reading your version.
Where are my stories
On your device, and only there. There is no account and no copy on any server. That means your stories are private, and it also means that deleting the app deletes them for good. Save anything you want to keep as a PDF, from the story menu.
How do I cancel my subscription
In your Apple account settings: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Ember. You can also reach it from Settings inside the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period you paid for ends.
I paid but the app does not know
Open Settings inside Ember and tap Restore purchases. That asks Apple again with the same Apple ID you paid with. If it still does not work, write to us with the date of purchase.
How do credits work
A chapter costs 3 credits, an illustration 4, a new story 12 once your two free stories are used, writing your own action 2 more, and changing a story's language 8. 100 credits is about 33 chapters. Ember+ covers all of it except the monthly illustration allowance.
The chapter stopped in a strange place
Chapters are generated live. If one comes out short or odd, go back a chapter and take the other choice, or start a new story. If it happens often, write to us and say which language you were reading in.
Is it suitable for everyone
No. Ember is rated 18+. It writes attraction, longing and restraint, and it stops at the door. It does not write explicit content, and inputs involving minors are blocked before they ever reach the model.
